The Bracknell town library is to close all day on Wednesdays from 1 April. This is yet another example of the Conservative council cutbacks caused by their extraordinary decision to “invest” £4 million in the bust Icelandic banks. Did anyone take the blame for that decision?

It seems rather like the awful Staffordshire Hospital and the banks that are now owned by the UK taxpayer. The investigators say: “Don’t worry, nobody is to blame and do keep paying fat remuneration and wonderful pensions to those at the top.” Pity about the poor service to the customers.

I deplore all these shambles.
